Here's another example of where some simple paint goes a long way. The raw parts are quite good, but there are some slight molding artifacts, and more importantly, everything metal is exactly the same silver color.
As near as I can tell, on the real car these parts are grey.
Some parts are metal as provided. The detail is very good, but I added and/or detail painted many nuts and bolts. I also added a bit of oil staining, not too much. I'm not going for a used appearance, just realistic.
Looking pretty good!
For the assembly of the engine, it's actually important to take the provided instructions with a large chunk of salt. I referred to other online sources heavily with this. Otherwise, you end up severely out of order and have to take things apart again later.
