Trumpeter Ford GT40 1/12 Scale, Part 5

I've mentioned that this very detailed model is oddly not detailed in places. One surprising example, there's no provision for ignition wires. In fact, there's no distributor!

I wouldn't be hard to make one, but I found this 3D printed parts assortment on Etsy for a reasonable price so I went with it.

The 1:8 scale Shelby Cobra I am also working on has the same engine. That kit includes instructions for the ignition cable length and the firing sequence. For the cable lengths on this one I just winged it. But I did do the firing sequence.

I added some PE cable ties to hold the wiring in bundles. Now no one can confirm the firing order!
