The Shelby Cobra I am also working on happens to have the same 427 engine. It's interesting to compare the two models.
Next a break from the engine to paint the bottom of the car.
The front was inexplicably painted silver right out of the box. I left that and added two shades of black primer and paint.
Trying something new... The is a silver pastel powder. I've had pretty good luck with pastels for light weathering, but this is the first time I've used a metalic.
A dusting of the silver with a big fluffy brush gives very realistic effect. I sealed it with a matte finish.
Shocking shocks... So far so good on this project, but there's a long way to go.
