Again, everything in metallic color has been striped of chrome and painted. I can't imagine the look if all that was plastic kit chrome.
On black frame parts I used Tamiya NATO Black, which I have come to really like for a good in-scale black look. It has a slightly greenish tone to it. Mixing those parts with a regular flat black adds a great deal of realism.
I actually used I think 4 different black paints, and at least three silvers. Simply mixing and matching different brands and gloss/semi/flat paints makes a model much less monotone. Monotone is to be avoided.
These metal boxes at the rear are made form thin sheet metal, replacing the (of course) chromed plastic parts from the kit. These boxes are the car's "trunk"; utility storage space as required by Le Mans race rules.
The corroborator is just sitting there. The instruction don't call for attaching it until much later. Because of that some upcoming photos don't show it in place.
